You must wait a minimum of 6 months before petitioning for adoption.

Current foster care rates are:

Age 0-12$15.03/day
Age 13+$18.09/day

Subsidy rates are negotiated on an individual basis and there is no guarantee that a child will get a rate up to the maximum of $10 less per month than the rate the child received in foster care. The rate is negotiated with families and takes into consideration the needs of the child and the parents' ability to meet those needs.

Specialized Foster Care Daily Rates (beginning July 1, 2003):

Age 0-12$25.69/day
Age 3-12$24.32/day
Age 13-21$27.34/day

The amount of the subsidy is negotiated with the parents, considering the child's needs and the ability of the parents to meet those needs. Specialized rates include respite, transportation, and clothing allowances
